“When Light Up The Nights was initially approached by ownership from Xtreme Action Park to co-develop the Uptown Block Party community event, it was a no brainer for myself, and my partners Eli Goldshtein, Troy Cabrera, and Brad Cohen,” said Isaac Benharoche. “We thrive on promoting large public gatherings and have had great success supporting similar events like the monthly FAT Village and Mass District Art Walks,” concluded Benharoche.

This event aims to promote the future residential and cultural area of Uptown Fort Lauderdale, and will cater to the local arts and entertainment enthusiasts with the overall intent to support the goals of the non-profit, Envision Uptown, Inc.

“We are excited to host the first Fort Lauderdale ‘Uptown Block Party’ at Xtreme Action Park. We feel blessed to be able to share our venue with so many local artists, street performers, local vendors and car enthusiasts that will help bond together our community,” said Aaron Parkinson, owner of Fiik Electric Skateboards, the Golf Skate Caddy and co-owner of Xtreme Action Park.

On the verge of reinventing itself as an Urban Village, Uptown Fort Lauderdale envisions becoming home to numerous local artists and creative businesses. The recent opening of Xtreme Action Park, South Florida’s largest indoor entertainment center is just the beginning. Immediately adjacent to Xtreme Action Park, Real Estate Mogul Michael Dezer, owner of Dezer Development and The Dezer Collection, is completing construction of his new Fort Lauderdale Auto Museum.

“We’re excited to really let the surrounding areas know who we are and everything new coming to our indoor entertainment park,” said David Goldfarb, owner of Primetime Amusements and co-owner of Xtreme Action Park.

On Tuesday, October 6th, the City of Fort Lauderdale City Commission unanimously adopted a Resolution to Accept the Urban Land Institute's Technical Assistance Panel Report for the Uptown Village.

“We at Envision Uptown, Inc. are pleased to welcome Xtreme Action Park into our neighborhood as we begin to execute the master plan of transforming the Uptown area into an urban village. The Uptown Block Party is a great way to promote Uptown Fort Lauderdale, which in the future will be a walkable, transit-ready urban neighborhood of offices, residences, retail, hospitality, civic buildings & parks” shares Cary Goldberg, president of Diversified Real Estate Development and Envision Uptown, Inc.
